  • Property: The mechanical property and unit. The units can be either metric or imperial. This is a controlled vocabulary field.

  • Temp: The temperature tested
  • Thickness: The thickness tested

  • Max Value: The maximum value

  • It may also contain explanations where necessary about other parts of the record.

Heat Treatment

  • Information taken from the Standard about the supply condition of the metal and the heat treatment carried out to achieve the requirements contained in the Mechanical Properties field.
  • Some metals are not subjected to a heat treatment and in these cases this field may contain information about the method of manufacture (e.g. cold rolled, hot rolled, extruded, as-cast etc.).
  • If the original standard does not contain this information, it will not be included.
